After blogging for several years on my former blogs itfication.com and itarena.eu, I have chosen to start over on a clean slate. The reason is my recent experience with Business Relation Management, or BRM. It has opened an entire new world for me. It materializes and puts into structure, the items I in the majority of my work-life worked with.
My vision is that this blog will be more specific and only revolve around the subjects of Business Relationship Management and digitization from a business view. There will also be articles on IT strategy, digital strategy – or would I like to call it – just strategy.
Why one more IT management blog?
The answer is simple – we hope that this is not “just” another blog on the discipline of business relationship management within the area of IT. Drawing on a analogy: Kotter is known for his 8 step process for organizational change management (OCM). However, did you also know that he in the same book describes the distinction between management and leadership? This should be an indication of where this blog is positioned: A little more in-depth with a twist.
… but first and foremost:
Welcome!
What can this crazy quilt blog do for me?
The blog will be a forum that revolves around the subjects of Business Relationship Management, digitization, Service Management. The webpage and blog should be an arena, where you get inspired, where you explore and where you improve. This will be done by creating awareness and discussing different topics, but also acting as a place where you can discuss issues and receive feedback.
Please feel free surf around and read. Aside from the focus areas, here are some subjects that can set the tone: how-to guides, ROI, theories, business alignment, tools, culture, outsourcing, offshoring, project management, collaboration, book and article reviews. The hope is that your feedback will guide the direction of the blog.
Authors with different backgrounds will write articles on key subjects. This will hence offer a diverse content. Help us by linking to the itfication RSS feed and comment the articles. We look forward to seeing you again.
Best regards
